Syllabus for MAT -

Group I

Std V and VI

Study of Numbers, Basic Operations of Numbers, Even Odd Prime and Composite Numbers, Tests of Divisibility, G. C. D. and L. C. M., Fractions, Decimal Fractions, Metric Measures Roman Numerals, Time, Equality and Use of Letters, Calender, Simplification of Expression, Unitary Method, Perimeter and Area, Profit & Loss, Percentage.

Group II

Std VII and VIII

Operations on Numbers, H. C. F. / G. C. D. and L. C. M. of Numbers, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Average, Distance, Speed, Time, Time & Work, Square roots & Cube & Cube roots, Indices, Algebraic Expressions, Lines and Angles, Tringles, Pythagoras Theorem, Area, Volume & SurfaceArea, Circle-Chords & Tangent, Polygon.

 

Pattern -

    1. Easy- First 25 questions

     2. Medium / Moderate - Next 15 questions

     3. High difficulty - Last 10 questions

 

    Overall we can say about MAT paper as it is very easy get through, but not easy to score 100% marks and thus really tests candidates aptitude       

 

      Each question carries two marks, so 50*2=100 (Total Marks). All questions objective (MCQ) with options. Separate Answer sheet to write answers

 

       If you Score 60% or more then you will be selected for next level contest viz. JMO (Junior Maths Olyampiad)

Group II

Std VII and VIII

Divisibility, Divisors and Prime Numbers, G.C.D. and L.C.M., Properties of numbers, Sequences and Series (A.P., G.P. and H.P.), Various Types of Equations, Permutation and Combination, Binomial Theorem, Number Theory, Geometrical Sums
